The Broadbridge Heath Butterflies are a pan-disability football team that provides a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for players of all abilities to take part in organised sport. The team is built around inclusion, participation, and respect, ensuring everyone has the chance to play, belong, and be part of a team. Beyond football, the Butterflies play a strong role in community engagement. Training sessions, match days, and events bring together players, families, volunteers, local clubs, and supporters, creating regular points of connection within the community. The partnership with Broadbridge Heath Football Club helps break down barriers between disability sport and mainstream football, encouraging understanding, acceptance, and shared experiences. The team also offers families and carers a supportive network, reduces social isolation, and promotes positive wellbeing through routine, teamwork, and achievement. By being visible in local fixtures and events, the Butterflies help normalise inclusion and show the wider community what can be achieved when everyone is given the opportunity to take part.
